As an homage to Guy Maddin this film serves as a cautionary tale of greed and an examination the horrors of life on the street. One secondary performer (whose character is known simply as "The Driver Opposite Me") was particularly compelling and although some of the secondary characters such as Man On Curb and Yellow Hydrant were a bit underwritten they were, nontheless, incredibly moving. The left turn of the flim's climax was a benchmark of German Expressionism in what may be the best use of a turn signal in cinema since Renoir's "La Ambulancia No Me Adora". TWO Thumbs up.
